役目を終えた和ろうそくを再利用したティーライトキャンドル。今も昔も和ろうそくの需要を支えているのは、お寺。ただ行事で1本すべてが使われることは少なく、2/3ほど残して廃棄されることが多い。今回、廃棄される和ろうそくを何とかしたいという思いから、このプロジェクトが始まった。和ろうそくの特徴は、人にも環境にも優しく、炎が大きく風で消えにくい。和ろうそくの炎を眺めてリラックスしたり、ベランダで焚火気分を味わいたいときに活躍するティーライトキャンドル。

Tea light candles made from reused Japanese candles that have outlived their usefulness. Even now, temples continue to support the demand for Japanese candles. However, not all of them are used at events, and often 2/3 of the candles are left over and discarded. This project was initiated out of a desire to do something about discarded Japanese candles. The characteristics of Japanese candles are that they are friendly to both people and the environment, have a large flame and do not easily go out in the wind. Tea light candles are useful for relaxing by watching the flames of Japanese candles or for enjoying the feeling of a bonfire on a balcony.
